Is Celine Dion Urging Britney Spears to Come to Las Vegas?

Celine Dion is urging Britney Spears to follow her lead and come to Las Vegas to perform according to Britain’s Daily Star. She is quoted as saying, “If Britney and Kylie want to come to Vegas and do a residency like me, I say go for it. Vegas is changing. There is room for everyone – new singers and older ones.”

The pop diva has achieved widespread acclaim and success with her latest Celine Dion in Las Vegas show. Dion recently said, “When I first came here (Las Vegas) in 2003, people said my career was over. I’m here because I love singing, and this allows me to be with my family.”

In addition to Britney Spears, Celine has also talked with Kylie Minogue about relocating for a time in Sin City. Both Spears and Minogue are said to be in talks regarding starting their own foray into Vegas entertainment. Minogue who’s on tour recently said this about the question, “I’ve got my Las Vegas show right here. We’ve been talking about it so if I do a residency I definitely have the show for it.”

Celine’s last Vegas stint saw her perform close to 600 shows over a 4 year span and grossed over 400 million dollars. Celine Dion has re-started her own show simply called Celine which is slated to stretch over 3 years for a total of 210 performances. Her show is performed at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Celine Dion has returned to Las Vegas and is now performing at the Caesars Palace Colosseum. Dion will be entertaining guests for a three-year residency which started in March of 2011. The 22 song set highlights some of her best hits and is perfectly accompanied on the six part stage by a 31 piece orchestra and Dion backup singers.

The show features elegant costume changes with gowns by designers like Givenchy, Versace, Elie Saab, and Balmain. The video displays throughout the Colosseum often offer an interesting history or backdrop to the show and there are plenty of amazing special effects to dazzle you along the way. The performance by the Queen of the Las Vegas Strip features many of her favorite hits along with an amazing duet with a holographic Stevie Wonder. Stevie’s hologram is so real you will be fascinated by the likeness.

In the first number Celine showcases eleven video screens which float down from the ceiling to create a feeling of ambiance and tribute to how shes sung the song over the years. Fans of Celine will be thrilled to hear her sing many of her biggest hits like “All By Myself,” “Man in the Mirror,” “River Deep Mountain High,” “The Music Never Ends,” along with movie favorites like “Beauty & the Beast,” and the love song from the Titanic, “My Heart Will Go On.” It’s a great show with amazing special effects, with backup singers, and a full orchestra that is sure to create an amazing experience on your next Vegas adventure.

Absinthe the Las Vegas show is all about surprises. Much like the intoxicating liquor of the same name, Absinthe is alluring, sensual, and will have you not knowing what to expect next. The show is a circus like cabaret show for adults 18 and over featuring incredible acrobats, amazing feats of strength, and gravity defying stunts. It’s similar to Cirque du Soleil, but with a definite off-beat surreal twist.

The New York Times claims at Absinthe you are, “Close enough to see the sweat and grimaces needed to produce graceful, gravity defying stunts.” They also sum up the experience as, “Imagine Cirque du Soleil as channeled through ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show.” If you want a Las Vegas Show that provides a skillful mix of eroticism, death defying stunts, and pure zaniness, Absinthe will deliver it.

You can find the Absinthe show at found outside Caesars Palace on the Spiegelworld campus. The theater is located on the corner of Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. Inside the Spiegeltent you’ll discover intimate velvet booths along with free standing seats. The theater for Absinthe offers intimate seating arrangement with only a 600 person capacity.

The theater itself is designed with beautiful stained glass decorative windows, glimmering mirrors, and plenty of velvet. In all the scenery creates an environment of mystery and adventure which helps add to the feeling that anything can happen. Similar to early 20th century Europe Spiegelworld has been called a carnival for grown-ups. If you’ve been looking for an over-the-top Las Vegas Show that’s got comedy, obscenity, and absurdity with a lot of spectacular stunts in between the Absinthe Spiegeltent show is where you’ll want to be.

Mirage Volcano

Mirage Volcano, Las Vegas


The Volcano Show at the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas erupts with fire and smoke, 100 feet into the air every 30 minutes. Several times the flames have caught the nearby palm trees on fire creating a much more exciting show than currently is on display. This attraction underwent a renovation in 2006 to make it even more volcanic.

One of the best places to watch the free show while catching a meal is from the Casino Royale restaurant across the street on the second floor.

Sirens Of Treasure Island Sirens Of TI, Las Vegas


The Sirens of TI is a popular free show at the Treasure Island Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. It’s the pirates versus the sexy sirens in this nautical adventure. Rumor has it that no man is able to resist the Sirens song. Watch as the swashbucklers try to fend off their womanly advances while firing off a few cannon rounds in the process. Will the pirates be able to resist the lure of the siren’s song?

The area in front of the show can be packed and strollers are not permitted on the promenade in front of the show area.You can find good seating inside the Tangerine Lounge at Treasure Island.
