The Wynn Collection of Art was located in a small gallery inside the Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas. The display offered a glimpse at works by Picasso, Cezanne, Vermeer, Rembrandt and Gauguin. The collection features 16th- to 20th century works of art, including Pablo Picasso’s “Le Reve.” The gallery was small but the art inside was of the highest quality to found in Las Vegas.
The rumors circulating were true and the Wynn Collection gallery did close. Now you can see the Wynn collection artwork scattered inside the Wynn resort. The centerpiece of the collection was the famed Picasso piece Le Reve which Wynn purchased in1997 for $48 million and some change. A sale was pending on the artwork for an estimated $139 million dollars when Wynn accidentally stuck his elbow through the canvas while showing it off. Sadly, the damage canceled the sale. After a $90,000 repair, the painting is now appraised at 85 million, still a substantial increase from his $48 million purchase price.
He recently spent over $35 million on pieces by the artist J. M. W. Turner as well as a record high price purchase for a Rembrandt.

the Le Reve show is Franco Dragone’s foray into a Cirque Du Soleil like production for the Wynn Resort. This $100 million production is performed in the LE RÊVE theater and resembles the popular Cirque show “O.”
The Le Reve theater features a huge pool containing 1.5 million gallons of water. Water makes up a large portion of the performances with up to 70 performers bringing the stage alive with energy. Those close to the stage frequently get wet due to the frantic action of the performance. Front row seating is only 4 feet away from the pool with no seat more than 42 feet from the action. There’s also ballroom dancing and thrilling acrobatics. One of the surprising thing we’ve noticed is some of the best seats are further back from the front row. The most expensive seating is found several rows from the front to make it easier to see all of the action.
Le Reve is currently performing at the Wynn Resort.
