Comic actor Bernie Mac dies

The publicist for Bernie Mac has said the Emmy and Golden Globe nominated comedian and actor has died at age 50.
Danica Smith the publicist said Bernie Mac died early Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia at a local Chicago are hospital.
Bernie Mac had a long term illness associated with an inflammatory lung disease that produced tiny lumps of cells in his lungs and organs.
The condition called Sarcoidosis targets the body’s organs. Bernie is said to have said the condition was in remission since 2005. However, he had recently been hospitalized and treated for problems associated with pneumonia.
Bernie Mac had performed on stage in Las Vegas on many occasions and was well known for his roles in “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,”"Ocean’s Eleven,” “Bad Santa,” and “Transformers.”He also starred in the successful Fox television series “The Bernie Mac Show,” which ran continuously from 2001 to 2006.

Barack Obama is in Las Vegas

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is in Las Vegas for a start studded appearance featuring many of the biggest names in Hollywood.
In attendance Tuesday night in Las Vegas will be top stars, big name directors and well known celebrities. Each there to throw their support behind their choice for president of the United States.
The high priced dinner gala they will be attending costs a whopping $2,300 dollars a tickets for general entry. Tickets to the VIP portion of the event fetch a massive $28,500 each. Obama aides expect a high turnout with a minimum of 500 people.
Some of the standouts expected to attend include the singer Seal and his wife and model Heidi Klum, as well as actor Samuel L. Jackson, Cindy Crawford and boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard.
Other famous donors who have already contributed to the Obama campaign includes Will Smith, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Paul Newman, Larry David, Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Aniston.
Obama aides say the proceeds from tonights event will be divided between Obama’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Party.
George Carlin’s Last Show Was in Las Vegas

Comedy legend George Carlin died of heart failure at a Santa Monica hospital on Sunday June 22nd, 2008 at 5:55 p.m at the age of 71. George Carlin’s last show was performed at the Orleans hotel in Las Vegas. There he received an award for the 11th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
Often called the dean of counterculture, wa know for his off-beat comic style and developed a particularly provocative routine called, “The Seven Words You Can Never Say On TV.”
George Carlin had a history of heart complications and was reported to have entered St. John’s Health Center on Sunday afternoon, complaining of chest pain.
Britney Spears in Las Vegas

It’s been reported that Britney Spears was in Las Vegas at the same time as her ex hubby Kevin Federline this past Father’s Day weekend.
The couple divorced in July of last year and since that time have had a bitter dispute over child custody. The two managed to carefully avoid each other this weekend and were both seen separately around town.
Britany Spears was seen at the Palms hotel, while Kevin Federline received the Father of the Year award from Prive Las Vegas. Federline has twice been awarded with a best Fathers award. Previously he was granted the honor by Details Magazine in November of 2007.
The split couple were said to have left the care of their two children Jayden James and Sean Preston at home for their weekend getaway.
