Arizona law has illegal students dropping out
August 18, 2008
With privately funded grants and scholarships lagging far behind the demand, some would-be students have dropped out, and others are considering a return to homelands they hardly remember in search of opportunity.
He was planning to become a mechanic and studied the craft for two years at a community college until he dropped out of school in the fall of 2007 because he could not prove his legal status as required under Proposition 300, approved by voters in 2006.

Tommy Bahama’s Cafew
August 18, 2008
The restaurant is designed to feel like a southern plantation, and have to say, the decor is nice. There is outdoor seating available, but we opted to dine inside due to the warm weather.
The service was ok… not bad, but not the best either. The prices, on the other hand, might be the downfall for this place (at least in my opinion). There wasn’t a regular entree with a price point below . Now, they do have a summer special offering "lighter fare with lighter prices", so that might help their business for now.
We ended up making a meal of the coconut shrimp, bbq pork sandwich, and a bucket of fries. Both the shrimp (6 in a order) and sandwich came with some kind of slaw, which was actually pretty good. The sauce on the pork sandwich was fantastic, and the shrimp were served with an apricot chutney which was excellent as well. All 3 items were from the appetizer menu.
The total tab, with no alcohol and no dessert, was . I would have been happier with lone star for that. I’m not cheap by any streatch, but with the current economy, I think places need to look long and hard at their prices. I noticed the place was almost empty (5 tables were occupied, and 2 people were sitting at the bar).

Poll: Obama Faring Poorly Among Racists
August 18, 2008
Pundits and pollsters alike have wondered about the role racists might play in the 2008 presidential contest, but the new survey released today was the first concrete attempt to take the pulse of this key voting bloc.
The poll, conducted by Duh Magazine, suggests that Mr. Obama faces an uphill battle in his effort to win the votes of dyed-in-the-wool bigots.
"We wanted to know, why isn’t Barack Obama closing the deal among racists?" said Charles Plugh, editor-in-chief of Duh. "The answer seems to be, because he’s black."
In a head-to-head match-up, likely bigots chose Sen. McCain over Sen. Obama by a margin of one thousand to one, with a majority of racists saying they "strongly disagree" with Sen. Obama’s decision not to be white.
Asked under what conditions they would conceivably vote for a black presidential candidate, 95% of racists responded, "Only if he was running against someone from a group I hated even more, such as Arabs."
Duh editor Plugh says the poll indicates that Sen. Obama "has his work cut out for him" if he is going to make up lost ground among racists.
"Sen. Obama made a choice at the beginning of this campaign to run as a black man," Mr. Plugh said. "He could change his position on that, but racists might see that as too little, too late."

McCain: ‘I’m proud’ of adviser’s lobbying connection
August 18, 2008
In an interview with USA Today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said he had no problem with his senior adviser Randy Scheunemann’s close lobbying ties to the Republic of Georgia:
“I’m proud to have supported them,” McCain said of Georgia in an interview on the campaign plane. “And I’m so proud that so many of my friends have done so, who also believe in freedom and democracy.”
Scheunemann had been employed as a lobbyist for Georgia at the same time he was providing foreign policy advice to McCain, lobbying McCain himself nearly 50 times between 2004 and 2007.
McCain is proud that his advisor is in someones pocket!

I’m going to load this in another thread just like olecap did. Your statements are outrageous. People need to refute your racism. Anybody who doesn’t do so condones inventor’s racism.
