Las Vegas Boating

When most people think of Las Vegas they usually think desert, but did you know there are actually some great places to go boating close to Las Vegas. Lake Mead and Lake Mohave are both a short drive away and offer excellent opportunities to go boating, fish, waterski, swim, sunbathe and scuba dive.
The lakes around Las Vegas offer some spectacular scenery as well as excellent opportunity to cool off from the hot sun. While boating there’s plenty of room to find your own private cove or enjoy many locations inaccessible by car. Visitors are often impressed with the steep rock formations and great fishing in the area.
Lake Mead in particular is big and offers a variety of water activities. Visitors can rent ski boats and other personal watercraft from the Overton Beach Resort and the Calville Bay Resort. You can also rent houseboats from Callville Bay on Lake Mead and Cottonwood Cove on Lake Mohave.
