Area 51 Nevada

Area 51, Nevada

Area 51 is regarded as ground zero for alien encounters. If what you seek is an out of the ordinary road trip from Vegas, head up the E.T highway to pay a visit to Area 51. It’s a long desolate drive through an bizarre desert landscape. At 150 miles each way its not a trip to be taken lightly. You’ll want to make sure your car is in good shape and keep in mind your heading out into the desert, so bring some water.

You can get there by following I-15 north, until U.S 93 then get off on the E.T highway Route 375. On Route 375 you have the choice to go directly to Area 51 via Mailbox Road or head on up to the town of Rachel where you can talk to locals and get an area map from the Area 51 Research Center. The Area 51 research center is a yellow trailer with a wide assortment of alien literature and was founded by Glenn Campbell you literally wrote the book on Area 51.

Another stop to make in the town of Rachel is the Little A’Le Inn diner and gift shop which is the hangout for die-hard alien aficionado and ufo watchers. You can find some pretty cool alien and ufo souvenirs from the gift shop and chat with the locals at the diner.
